Workshop Description
Many of the largest breakthroughs in device performance can be traced back to an enabling material technology such as new thin films with engineered structures, meta-stable materials, or physics enabled by low dimensional materials. Indeed, much of the promise of “nanotechnology” comes from nano-scale materials science being successfully integrated into device architectures. This workshop will explore the materials advances that have enabled break though technologies in the areas of: Power and Energy, Bio and flexible, Electronics and Sensors, and Actuators, and inspire attendees to collaborate using their materials advantage.
New for this year: Student speakers in each session and a rump session/happy hour to close out the meeting!
Deadlines
- 2/16 – Abstracts due for oral presentations
- 3/4 – Notice of acceptance
- 3/15 – Poster abstracts due
